46,000 Craftsman Table Saws Recalled for Safety Hazard

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a recall of a Craftsman portable table saw, sold exclusively by Sears Holdings from April 2014 to October 2016 for around $200. The specific saw was manufactured in China by Rexon Industrial Corp, Ltd. of Taiwan.

The Craftsman 15 Amp 10-inch table saw, model number 137.415030, sits on a black metal foldable stand that is at risk of collapsing, according to the release. 11 reports have been received of the table saw collapsing, CPSC states.  9 of those reports also included injuries like broken bones, lacerations, a shoulder strain and a partial finger nail amputation.

How to determine if you own the recalled table saw

Serial numbers are printed on a silver label on the front of the saw.  If your saw matches the model number above and the serial number starts with any of the following letters, then it is included in the recall:
