Having a healthy preconstruction process sets your project up for success. Without proper bid management, your company will have a hard time consistently winning bids. Without prequalifying your contractors before the project, you could be dramatically increasing your risk later in the project.
To help expand their preconstruction software offerings, Procore has just announced a new product, called Prequalification, to help its users reduce the time it takes to evaluate new and existing contractors. Prequalification joins the Bid Management product under Procore’s preconconstruction umbrella.
Within Procore Prequalification, users can add and track information of the contractors they work with -- or hope to work with – such as contact, financial, safety, bonding, and insurance information. The contractor information reduces silos and increases transparency, so that all various stakeholders in the process have the correct information at their fingertips.
In the .gif below, you can see the list of prequalification questions already loaded into the product:
After the contractors pass the prequalification process, all of the data is then transferred to Procore’s Bid Management product to reduce redundancies. Contractors can be filtered based upon status and other factors before being invited to bid on the project. Prequalification and Bid Management are separate products, however, so they will have to be purchased separately.
Procore Prequalification is just another step in the company’s continued commitment to creating a true end-to-end solution. At Groundbreak 2019 (Procore’s annual technology conference), they announced the additions of Procore for Owners and Procore Analytics, after the acquisitions of Honest Buildings and ConstructionBI, respectively.
